I have a calendar event with 100 participants. I want to export the email addresses (i.e. with part with @ - not just the names) into a txt file - one address per line.

If it is any help: the To-field seems to contain the same list - but with the @-addresses replaced by person names.

How do I do that without having to double click every person to find their @-address?

We recently changed from Comcast inteet to AT&T DSL. Since then we're having static on our phone line, which is a Vonage VOIP line. I'm assuming I need a filter, but I'm not sure where to put it since the phone line doesn't actually plug into the wall. Should the filter still go between the wall and the AT&T line? Or between the phone line and the Vonage modem? Or between the Vonage modem and the AT&T modem? And is it just a single filter that I need, or one with a splitter? Thanks

I'm on Mint 17.3 on Toshiba Satellite L500, and all of a sudden (possibly following an update), my keyboard started to act really quirky.

Some keystrokes are received with a lag, some are not, and some get doubled. This isn't tied to any particular keys.

Any ideas about what the problem might be and how to diagnose it?

This looks like a hardware/driver issue -- I get the behavior in virtual consoles too, and an exteal USB keyboard works fine. Unfortunately, using an exteal keyboard with a laptop isn't very practical.

I would like to add a custom HTTP Header to every Inteet Explorer request on a computer (or every browser request). I don't know if this is possible whatsoever, if you have heard of anyway to accomplish such a task, could you please point me in a general direction?

I've thought about opening IE with a PowerShell wrapper, or editing the registry but can't find out if headers can be modified that way. I'm open to whatever options may be available but I'm coming up short in a way to achieve this. Thank you!

I've been stuck with this problem for months. I have over 50 DV tapes (from and old Sony camcorder) to be converted to a more mode, usable format (most likely H264). I've started off with pulling the files to my PC (via firewire) using DVGRAB. There I had two options: pulling RAW data from the dv tape, resulting in a muxed file OR demuxing it and saving to a DVI file.

That's where the problems started. Saving it to a DVI file resulted in the audio being out of sync. I thought it's a problem with DVGRAB so I saved the RAW files (which are synced correctly) and wanted to process them with ffmpeg.

It tus out that no matter how I demux it the audio is always out of sync. BEFORE you say anything about the sampling frequency - the audio differences are of absolutely random length. An hour long tape can have between 0.1 and 4 seconds of audio lag at the end.

Here's an example file that I've split into separate audio and video files to check the differences.

This particular one differs by 1.448 seconds. As I said the differences vary greatly.

As for the solution. I could just stretch the audio and combine it with the video (I've tested that), but I can't be certain if the audio will be in sync somewhere in the middle of the recording.

I think I've pinpointed the source of this behaviour. Whenever I tu the camera on or off (as to start and stop recording) the video starts just a tiny bit faster then the audio. So the more "fragments" are on the tape, the more these differences add up.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to demux the audio and video with timestamps, so that after conversion they will add up correctly? Or is there anyway to fill these gaps in audio, so that both streams are the same size to begin with?

First I noticed that if I go to http://example.org/wp-config.php, it gives me an empty page instead of 404 error. I tested it with another file - wp-config-example.php, and it gave me a page with the following text: "Error establishing a database coection". So it definitely just executed that php script. If I go to http://example.org/wp-content/themes/TheFox/screenshot.png, apache2 serves me that file.

This seems very dangerous to me. I didnt know about it for some time and kept a .sql backup of the whole wordpress database in the wordpress directory - anyone could've downloaded it.

I've just configured apache2 with <Directory /path/to/wordpress/dir/, and it worked, so I thought everything's done right, but now I am in doubt.

I'm trying to search and remove unrelevantregistry keys, and it sounds like Cygwin does allow access to them through /proc/registry.

However, recursive grep -r outputs error lines like :

Strange error for a recursive grep. Then, file displays :

When ruing get-culture on a remote machine the commandlet does it's job just fine however when I tried "set-culture en-US" it doesn't seem to do anything even when run locally. That's on Server 2012R2 BTW. Anyone gets the same?

I just installed MS Office 2016 Pro Plus edition and its build version is 16.0.4312.1000. The problem is that on File -> Account page the update buttons/options are not present below the "About" button. As much as I can remember, the last office 2016 installation I had sometime ago had those options through which I used to update to latest build. How can I get those back? Is there some edition difference?

Note: I tried installing updates through Windows Update. Some updates were installed but the build version was the same!

Yesterday I configured RDP on my machine and it worked fine. I closed the coection and that's all.

Today when I try to coect again I just get nothing. Credentials windows shows, I fill it (if I fill it wrong it says that logon was failed), then a session starts, but then if just is automaticly closing (or something like it). The last thing I see is the window below:

Target machine has Windows 10 as OS is it's important. And yesterday everything was working fine, and I didn't change anything in configuration of source or target machine.

okay, so I have a USB HDD that I use with my TV as a media drive, and I want to know if there is a way to; when I plug it into my laptop, automatically sync a specific folder on the pc to a specific folder on the drive, and if I leave it in, sync any changes in real time, I am ruing windows 10 Home, if you need any more details just ask, I would preferably like to do this without any third party software, if not I can download and install something.

We run an application here, which is called ApplicationA.exe . The problem we have is we need to run different versions of it. In Windows start menu, it looks similar to this tree view

As you can see, the name of the application is always the same but we can see by the parent folder, what version of the application is. And in some systems, we have 8 or 9 of these folders, and they do change often with new releases etc.

The start menu shows a list of the most recent, which means we often have 2 or 3 applications with the same name (ApplicationA).

Hovering over the application doesn't help (it would have been nice if it showed the file path for example)

We can right click on the application, go to properties to see the file path to provide some indication whether this is release01 or release500 but doing so, the start menu closes and as such there is then nothing to click on!

So, my question is, how do I get additional information about the application from the start menu and keep the application visible so it can be executed.

I've always hated fn keys. Give me dedicated home/end/pgup/pgdn keys any day. But then I got a new laptop (xps 13), and used it almost exclusively for 6 months.

Now I go back to my desktop, and I'm unable to code in it without constantly hitting windows+left, windows+up, etc etc. Which does nothing useful, other than to move windows to one side of the monitor etc.

Is there something I can do to re-map windows+up to page up, windows+left to home, etc etc?

I have a problem which started yesterday at two completly unrelated clients.

Both are ruing an application on a terminal server 2012 from a network share.

When starting the application they now get an error message "error performing inpage operation".
Process monitor shows a "network error"

(offset and length are within the file size)

The error is repeatable and happen for all user on the terminal server. A few other applications on the share show the same error while others work fine. All applications runs fine on the server.

The first client does not have inteet access from the terminal server nor application server and AFAIK no updates has been applied recently. Not sure of the status of the second client.

Restarting the terminal server solved the problem for the second client. Currently waiting for a service window for the first client.

Any ideas what might have happened?

More generally, scp is like cp. Its first parameter is the source and the second parameter is the target. You can do either

scp local/path/to/file user@hostname:remote/path

or

scp user@hostname:remote/path/to/file local/path

By the way, the -r option does not stand for "reversed", it is "recursive".

I have this recurring issue where the my machine will be stop being able to coect to GMail, Google Search, Google Fonts, Analytics, etc. but will happily serve any other URL at full speed. I can watch in Chrome's Network panel as it takes two minutes to download one 100kb xhr for Gmail, while in another tab I can browse pretty much anything I want (provided it doesn't use Google Analytics, Fonts, or Adsense).

It really seems like the restriction is to Google properties only.

I've tried using Google's DNS with no luck. Rebooting the router has no effect. All the URLs are SSL, so it seems unlikely that there is any MitM action going on (even though the ISP is BT who would not be above such things). I'm at a loss.

Any ideas as to where to even start trying to debug this?

Edit: This might be limited to Google Chrome (Mac), as I can occasionally get into Gmail using Safari when it's happening.

So far I have only a few certificates in the keychain. So I understand that:

• whenever someone sends me an encrypted message (meaning he has my public key) I use my private key to decrypt it. To read an email from 2 years ago I need to keep my private key, despite it may expire

• if I have several keys in my Keychain (and just one which is not expired), Apple Mail will figure it out which key is the proper one for decrypting the message and it will use it?

• if I have several keys in my Keychain assigned to a single address, and several are valid (as in not expired) there is no possibility of manual choosing the key.

Questions:

1. Am I right in the above?
2. In the case when there are several keys in my Keychain but only one is not expired, will Apple Mail use that key to encrypt my messages?

I was given a refurbished computer to tinker with and it works but it's outdated and rather than spending cash to fix it up I rather much install a lightweight Linux distro like puppy or lxle problem I'm facing is none of the distros I've tried support the netgear wifi adapter it uses and I can't plug directly into the router so it's difficult downloading/installing all the packages i'd need to get it working with the da thing.

it's a wnda3100 v 3 stick.

Anyway I'm fairly newish to Linux & I'm not entirely sure how to get the adapter to be recognized can anyone suggest a lightweight distro that supports this stick or at the very least easy to setup. Like I said I can't plug directly into the router but I can download packages i'd need from my windows machine and transfer em over.

You must boot your system from a live Linux distro, then use gparted, available either as default or as extra package on all distros. There are guides to do this all over Google, you can find one here just as an example. However, despite all assurances, you should backup all of your data in any case, there is alway Murphy's law.

At the cost of sounding banal, let me just state you caot shrink a partition to a size smaller than the amount currently stored on it, without losing data.

Okay I have a weird one for you and I'm lost on where to go, what to edit, etc. My Girlfriend's Windows 10 No longer has a File Explorer Icon when the application is open and ruing. The last icon is the icon I'm looking to fix. As you can see from the screenshot I've looked in regedit for an obvious error or something.

My google fu has also had me rebuild the icon cache, but to no avail. I'm open to any and all suggestions at this point.

I have a problem with write/read speeds of exteall HDD coected via USB 3.0 bridge to my Debian - powered computer (actually, it's HP t5710 Thin Client). When I coect this HDD to my windows PC it works like a charm, and write/read speeds are as high, as I would suspect they will be. But, when I coect this disk to Debian machine (via USB 2.0 port, since there are no 3.0 ports on the machine) speeds are extremly slow (I'm talking USB 1.0 slow - maximum buffered disk read recorded with hdparm is about 1MB/sec). I suspect, that second line (about not ruing @ top speed) indicates, that there is a problem. Unfortunately, since I am a total Linux noob I have no clue as to how to make it better.
